Analyse 2 mins opening scene from Blade Runner 2049

 

At the start of the film, it used the black colour as the back ground, with white and red colour word to let audience know the setting of the film, the black and white could represent the unique order of this world, and the red is the only colour that stood out, and also represented as danger, this could telling the audience that the red marked word 'Replicants' is dangerous and it shouldn't exit.

Then there is a extreme close up of an eye and the camera is keep zooming, the eye is staring at the camera, perhaps this is trying to let the audience wondering is this replicants or human,  but other way could also saying that the 'thing' is also wondering are we human or replicants, which the enigma code has created, the colour of the iris is between green and blue, which gives people a feeling of mysterious and noble.

Then there are established bird eye view shots, the colour are manly grey and white, and from the scene we can see everything is in order, witch makes audience think this world might be under control by some one or some thing, and it's also over polluted, gives people a feeling of repressed.

Through the opening scene, all we can hear is the non diegetic sound, it's very deep and low pitch, like a tuba, again give people a feeling of repressed, could representing the way of life in this world.
